A sense of style is clearly subjective and clothes are a question of individual taste so perhaps understandable not everyone appears to be a fan of a supermarket's latest range.
Posting on its George at Asda page, the retail giant has shown off matching blue couples' tracksuits it hopes will prove a hit with shoppers.
The MEN reports how the blue outfits are available in Unisex sizes, so partners and mates can match and are priced at £31 each (hoodies are £16 and tracksuit bottoms are £15).
Some punters appeared keen to snap up the items either for themselves or as a gift - but others complained the outfit looks like something you'd wear 'in prison'.
Paul Scott Johnson said: "Is this to wear in prison. Its clearly designed on prison inmate clothes, and who in their right minds thinks that people wish to be seen ANYWHERE in matching outfits. I really really have no idea where your buyers and merchandisers get their ideas from. Asda George used to be good, now its becoming a laughing stock TBH."
Tracey Poyser Neighbour slammed: "Matching prison wear with your other half. Living the dream."
Others were just generally unimpressed with the design. Claire Chantelle joked: "Prison wear at its finest." Jane Northfield mocked: "Prison wear!"
Some were just disillusioned by the simple outfits.
Lisa Goddard wrote: "I'm really not impressed with the new clothing ranges at Asda! I used to buy a lot from there pre-pandemic, but the choice isn't great anymore. Lots for the pre-pandemic Primark shopper, but nothing for anyone else now!"
Mitzi Piliotis commented: "They have to be joking!" Charlotte Cuthbert Sutton asked: "Is that the best clothing they've got at the minute?"
When contacted by Manchester Evening News, Asda declined to comment.
