Asda shoppers are loving £40 heated throw that costs pennies to run

Asda shoppers are going wild for a £40 item from Silentnight that can help you save money on your energy bill this winter.

As people across Britain struggle to cope with the cost of living crisis, the supermarket's bargain electric blanket is getting heaps of attention online - and it costs only pennies to run. This will come as great news to anyone wanting to cut back on their spending during the colder months.

The budget retailer is selling the Silentnight Heated Throw for £40 in stores. However, a similar item is available on the Silentnight website for £28 if you want to spend less.

The recent cold snap, and rising energy prices, mean many of us are looking for ways to keep warm without using central heating.

Just in time for winter, a popular heated throw from Silentnight has been spotted in stock at Asda.

On the Asda website, several shoppers have been leaving five-star reviews of the item.

One person said: "Light, soft and good heat range with two hour automatic switch off. Perfect size for a single bed or to snuggle under when watching TV on a chilly might. Even cosier with another light fleecy throw on top on the bed."

A second added: "A really quality product, uses very little power and keeps you warm without the cost of the heating being on."

While a third wrote: "This is a great product for the price. lovely and soft and quite flexable considering that there are wires running through the throw. It takes a long while to heat up, but once warm it is lovely".

Available for £40, the Heated Throw by Silentnight is made with super-soft fleece to provide extra warmth, while three heat settings allow you to choose the perfect temperature for you.

The throw heats up in a matter of minutes, making it easy for you to get warm on chilly days. It also features overheat protection for your peace of mind and comes with a three-year guarantee.

Heated throws offer a cheaper alternative to keeping warm rather than switching on the central heating, as they only cost around 3p an hour to run.

You can purchase the Silentnight Heated Throw in Asda stores and online at asda.com.
