ASDA shopper slaps woman over the head with pizza in reduced section scuffle

An ASDA shopper slaps a woman with a pizza as supermarket customers vie for discount bargains in this bizarre footage.

A video shared on TikTok shows a group of shoppers scrambling to pick up various reduced food items from the shelves when the clash occurred.

An elderly woman in a brown coat is seen struggling to manoeuvre through the crowd, while two shoppers begin to push each other.

The two women appear to be tussling over food, as one snatches a packet away from the other and a raw chicken leg is seen discarded on the floor.

Then, a woman in a hat and glasses takes an empty pack of raw chicken and plops it on her head as the video reads 'I guess its a chicken head.'

In retaliation, the woman slaps the woman in the face with an oven pizza.

The TikTok then moves to a different part of the store, where a member of staff is seen labelling satsumas as reduced and throwing them to customers.

The incident comes amid concerns about supply chain shortages that have left supermarket shelves bare.

The video was shared by American influencer Nick Alexander, whose account is Mr_MIAMI_UK.

He used to live in Florida, but has since moved to Wolverhampton and often posts content about this, however it is not clear which store was shown in the video.

The TikTok has since gained a lot of attention, and one person, Simon, commented: "I can appreciate that people are struggling in life. but i can't help but think this is more about arrogance & people just being rude. I feel for the staff!"

Another TikTok user, Leila, commented: "I don't see anything funny about people fighting over reduced food, they clearly are struggling and we would feel the same if we were in their shoes"

"I've seen all now. 90% people there are not struggling. I see same people everyday in Morrisons going to their new Mercedes' afterwards," Awaria commented.

UrbanViking said: "That chicken leg on the floor is a representation of the governments view on us all."
