Asda shopper discovers product that looks suspiciously like Man City's new kit

A few weeks ago, Manchester City unveiled its brand new football kit.

In its iconic baby blue colour on a white background, the new t-shirt now features a paisley pattern - something which has certainly divided fans.

While some people can't get enough of the football team's new t-shirt, others aren't convinced by the 'jazzy' design.

And now one shopper thinks they've discovered the 'real' source of inspiration behind the pattern...at Asda.

Posting on Twitter, social media user @smidycent wrote: "Just found the inspiration behind @ManCity third kit. Kitchen roll by @asda."

Alongside the text, the shopper shared a picture of some kitchen roll - which they reckon has a resemblance to Manchester City's new t-shirt design. Funny.

People were quick to respond, with many participating in the joke.

"Believe me when I say that I look great in my new kit, but wouldn't look so good in Asda Kitchen roll!!! And no, I'm not going to show anybody!" joked one Twitter user.

Another responded: "Uncanny."

"It has the same vibe for sure!" agreed somebody else.

"Brilliant!" exclaimed another City fan.

Somebody else wrote: "Inspiring!"
The new 2020/21 shirt has been created by Puma, and can be bought on the official Man City online store here.
