Asda sets up queuing system on website for customers trying to secure online home delivery slot

Asda customers are now facing a queue to get onto its website due to a huge demand as people try to secure online delivery slots.

Large queues have now sadly become a regular sight across many supermarkets during the last few weeks, however this week it looks websites are also seeing a high demand too.

Yesterday , Morrisons website crashed after shoppers rushed to hold of its £35 food boxes and today a message on Asda's website informs they've been placed in a queue.

The message says: "Please wait. Lots of customers are shopping with right now.

"Please do not refresh your browser - you are now in a queue.

"We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."

Wait times to get onto its website are expected to be around 15 minutes.

Last night, Asda rolled out new measures to ensure social distancing was being followed across its stores.

Black tape markers and perspex screens will now be used in store to help stop the spread of germs and lower the risk for those working.
