Asda selling hidden designer Gucci items for £12 in-stores from today

When it comes to designer clothing, who doesn't love getting their hands on items for much less than they actually are?

Well, fashion bargain hunters will need to get ready for the crossover absolutely no-one saw coming - UK supermarket giant Asda and the Italian powerhouse Gucci.

The Mirror reports that fashionistas will be able to get their hands on Gucci clothes for as little as just £12, but you better be quick as there will only be a select amount of products in stores.

On Friday November 26, George at Asda has announced it will be selling a wide range of hidden pre-loved Gucci items across its stores for customers to buy.

George at Asda has revealed that the Gucci treasure hunt will coincide with the release of Ridley Scott's hotly anticipated movie, "House of Gucci", which stars Lady Gaga and Adam Driver.

The unique collaboration will see savvy shoppers having to hunt for 30 hidden designer items across George at Asda stores across the UK, including Edinburgh.

As Gucci mania grips the country, shoppers can get their hands on items such as shirts, jackets and dresses from the beloved Italian brand.

The new venture has being run in association with vintage wholesaler PreLoved - the supermarket’s sustainability partner - and will see secret Gucci treasures worth up to £4,000 hidden on Asda shop floors.

Steve Lynam, the managing director of Preloved Wholesaler LTD said: "Our partnership with George at Asda is one that we are extremely proud of, so we’re delighted to be able to offer their customers the chance to pick up something they have always dreamed of owning in their local supermarket.”

Shoppers can already buy vintage pieces in 50 supermarkets across the UK as part of the brands "George For Good" commitment, which encourages shoppers to make more sustainable choices when it comes to fashion.

Steve Lynam, the managing director of Preloved Wholesaler LTD said: "Our partnership with George at Asda is one that we are extremely proud of, so we’re delighted to be able to offer their customers the chance to pick up something they have always dreamed of owning in their local supermarket.”

Lauren Mallins from George at Asda added: "Whether you are a lover of vintage or just want to make more sustainable choices, our hand-picked PreLoved pieces are always a treasure trove of gems and now Gucci is adding to our customers’ reasons to shop with us."

If you are lucky enough to get bag yourself one of the hidden vintage items, then Asda encourages you to share your finds on social media with the hashtags #Preloved and #HouseofGucci.
