Asda, Sainsbury's, Lidl and Waitrose issue product recalls due to health concerns

Supermarket chains Asda, Sainsbury's, Lidl and Waitrose are all recalling a number of food products due to health concerns.

Customers should contact stores if they have purchased any of the recalled items, the Food Standards Agency had said.

If the problem with the food product means it should not be sold then it might be withdrawn, taken off the shelved, or recalled, when customers are asked to return the product - reports the Echo.

The Food Standards Agency issues what they call 'Product Withdrawal Information Notices' and 'Product Recall Information Notices' to inform customers and local authorities of any problems associated with food.

These product recalls all come from the last two weeks.
