Asda's released a 'magical' colour-changing bubble bath, and shoppers are in a frenzy

For many parents, bathtime can sometimes prove a real nightmare.

However, Asda appears to have come to the rescue with a 'magic' new bubble bath that has gone viral for all the right reasons.

Parents are now heaping praise on the £1.20 bubble bath, which magically changes colour when it's squirted into water.

The product was first shared on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group by Ashlee Holt, who shared a video of it in action.

Since being posted, the video has racked up thousands of likes, comments and shares, with many parents agreeing that they love the bubble bath.

Responding to the video, one mum said: "My kids have this and love it."

Amazing colour-changing bubble bath

"Omg I want it never mind the kids," joked someone else.

A third shopper wrote: "This looks cool!"

Somebody else posted: "I'm gonna buy dis for my wee son. He has learning difficulties and it's hard to make him wash. But this would really help. He loves different colors I think he would love it."

Manchester Evening News spoke to the mum behind the now-viral video, who revealed how the magical bubble bath had completely transformed bath time for her seven-year-old son Jacob, who is autistic.

She said: "Jacob is 7 and has Austism he biggest joy is color changing cars and toy figures so when we found colour change bath bubbles we had to buy it.

"The results were brilliant the room smelt like oranges and we had a few bubbles just from the little squirt I used.

"Bath time was much more fun and we will be getting more on our next shopping trip."

Ashlee also explained how she had worried that the bubble bath may not have been as effective as she'd hoped at first, but was surprised by the results when her daughter tested it out before she showed Jacob.

She said: "My daughter tested it first so I didn't get boys hopes up and it be rubbish but it worked really well."

Ashlee told us that the bottle of bubble bath cost her £1.20. It doesn't appear to be available online yet, so if you want some you're best checking your nearest Asda store to see if there is any stock.
