Asda's important message to all shoppers ahead of Father's Day

Asda has issued an important message to all shoppers in the run up to Father’s Day.

The supermarket giant is giving shoppers the choice to opt out of any emails regarding the annual day.

This is because while many families look forward to celebrating with their dads, for some it can be a triggering and often difficult day - and hearing about it can cause issues.

So, Asda is giving its shoppers the chance to avoid any upset ahead of the big day on June 20, reports the MEN .

In an email to shoppers, Asda said: "Hi there, Father's Day is approaching and we know this can be a difficult time for some of us.

"If you would prefer not to see any emails about this event, please let us know by clicking below by 9th of June.

"This will only stop emails about Father's Day, but you will still receive our usual great offers and rewards. From, ASDA Customer Team."

This year, Father's Day falls on Sunday, June 20.

In the UK, Father's Day always falls on the third Sunday in June.
