Asda's bargain Christmas Eve box is back - and there's a Frozen 2 version

The Christmas Eve box has fast become a tradition in the UK and Asda's is flying off the shelves.

What started in the US has made its way overseas and families here in Manchester can't get enough of them.

In response to the demand for the boxes, Asda launched its own £2 budget version last Christmas - the idea being that parents then have more money to spend on the contents.

Now they've created even more designs this year, and the Frozen 2 version is expected to be a big hit.

It's a little bit dearer - at £2.50 - but you'll probably have to be quick to get your hands on one.

The idea behind the boxes is that parents give them to children the night before Christmas and fill them with anything from hot chocolate and reindeer food to festive PJs and a film.

Frozen 2 was released on November 22 and, grossing £271m in its first three days, had the biggest opening for an animated film in history at the worldwide box office.

It is set three years after the events of the first film and follows Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven who embark on a journey beyond their kingdom of Arendelle in order to discover the origin of Elsa's magical powers and save their kingdom.
