Asda Robroyston incident: major delays after crash between lorry and ambulance

A crash between a lorry and an ambulance has resulted in major tailbacks at Asda Robroyston.

Police have just left the scene at the Robroyston roundabout due to the incident which occurred shortly before 2pm.

No one was injured as a result of the crash.

Traffic coming out of Robroyston retail park and onto Robroyston roundabout is experiencing delays.

Ambulances were also in attendance and officers are re-directing motorists.

One eyewitness told Glasgow Live: "The traffic is at a standstill, and police are re-directing everyone. There doesn't look to be a car crash or any debris but there are ambulances on the scene too."

A Police spokeswoman said: "Around 1.55 pm today, Friday, 14 May, 2021, police were called to a road crash involving an ambulance and a lorry on Monument Road, near the roundabout (at Asda), Robroyston.

"No one injured as a result of the crash. Enquiries are continuing. Officers are no longer at the scene."
