Asda releases bargain Disney kitchen product but not all shoppers are convinced

An Asda customers picked up a Disney-themed kitchen product at her local supermarket, and was quick to share her purchase online — but not all shoppers were convinced by it.

The chain sells a George Home Grey Disney Mickey Mouse Pancake Pan & Bottle for £7, which allows people to make pancakes shaped like the iconic Disney mascot.

The bottle that comes with the pan is supposed to be filled with pancake batter and then used to draw Mickey onto the pan when it is hot.

Writing on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, the shopper wrote: "£7 from Asda! Haven’t tried yet so don’t know if it works! But never seen this one before and thought the price was very good".

The post has since been received almost 800 likes, as well as over 2,400 comments from fellow shoppers sharing their thoughts.

One wrote: "Deffo works I bought one to use for grandkids last week they loved it".

"We bought a unicorn one from there ,they work perfect," a second agreed.

"I got the Peppa Pig one from Asda last year does work brilliant my boys loved it," said a third.

A fourth simply said: "This is fab".

However, some Facebook users were not convinced by the pan, with one commenting: "I brought it, mine didn’t print the Micky mouse onto the pancake but is a good pan".

"You'll never get that shape, the batter spreads too much," argued a second.

A third said: "We have Peppa Pig one didn't work maybe doing it wrong".

"We have it is ok but difficult to get Mickey looking like that," acknowledged another.

In response, some members gave advice on how to best use the pan.

"I have this, put it on a low heat while you draw the outline otherwise it burns, it really is trial and error, I gave up and bought a crepe maker," one revealed.

A second suggested: "I had one of these all I say is make your pancake mixture thicker the American style pancake mix is great".
