Asda praised for using relatable mum with stretchmarks to model lingerie

Asda shoppers have been pleased to see that a relatable mum of two has been chosen to model George's new Entice lingerie set, her stretch marks proudly on show.

Brunna Teixeira, who is based in London, regularly promotes body positivity on her Instagram page - with the handle @brunna.teixeira_ - where she advises her followers that 'self-love is the best type of love'.

As previously reported by the Manchester Evening News shoppers have been delighted to see Brunna's confident and beautiful brand of self-love promoted on the supermarket's Instagram page, with Brunna seen modelling a pretty, purple Valentine’s Day lingerie set.

Followers have praised Asda for using such a relatable model, with many women seeing themselves in Brunna's "beautiful, unfiltered" body.

One approving person wrote: "When you can see yourself in a photograph and relate, I feel seen!", while another commented: that they were "So here for the unfiltered beauty in all the forms you’ve been showing lately".

A third applauded: "Well done George for setting real standards in this industry full of fake perfection. Let's hope other clothing brands follow in the real world footsteps!"

In a post uploaded to her own Instagram, Brunna could be seen wearing the embroidered Entice set while offering words of encouragement to followers who might be "having a ‘bad body image’ day".

Describing this feeling as "perfectly normal", Brunna advised: " If you find yourself struggling throughout the day with how your body looks, try and find something that makes you feel good!"

She added: "For me it’s putting on sexy lingerie, standing in front of my mirror and complimenting myself. I may not believe what I say at that moment in time, but the more I say it, the better I feel. Hope this helps".

In another post, she thanked "all the women" who send her "beautiful messages daily", stating that "They mean the world to me, and keep me motivated to create more content".
