Asda shoppers have been pleased by the superstore chain's latest in-store changes.
The retailer has changed it's 'feminine hygiene' aisle signs to say 'period products' instead.
Asda began rolling out the changes at the end of 2021 in a bid to update language which many say implies that periods are unhygienic and to be more inclusive for those who have periods but don’t identify as female.

The term is also considered by many to be outdated as it is gendered and therefore harmful to those who don't identify as women but still need to use period products.
Shoppers have been praising Asda online for the recent changes.
Period charity Binti International posted to their Twitter account to share the move, sharing a snap of the new aisle titled 'period products.'
They said: "Thank you and a massive shout out to Asda for leading the way in changing the language around menstruation.
"Sanitary hygiene or feminine hygiene suggests menstrual products are for something dirty.
"Time to change the language. Smash shame."
Another charity, Periods Matter, tweeted: "Well done Asda! It may seem like a small thing to change the name of your aisle from 'feminine hygiene' to 'period products' but we know it will make a difference to individuals who often feel excluded from menstruation conversation".
The official Twitter for The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) issued praise too, writing: "We welcome Asda's move away from the term 'hygiene' when talking about period products.
"Periods are not dirty or unhygienic, they are normal and natural and we would urge more retailers to do the same".
