Asda, Lidl, TK Maxx, IKEA, Tesco and more issue urgent product recalls

A new batch of product recalls has been issued by leading UK retailers.

Products that should be returned to stores include Granary Bread Flour and Oatly milk following allergy and safety concerns, Cambridgeshire live reports.

Shoppers are being asked to check if they have any of these items in their cupboards at home and not to consume them.

A notice in the window of Bristol's TK Maxx says Unilever has notified it is recalling the speaker due to a safety concern with the charging cable included in the gift pack.

Some of the cables have a defect and may overheat.

The product was on sale in TK Maxx and Homesense between December 2018 and February 2019.

Advice is to stop using it immediately and contact the store for a full refund. For further enquiries people can contact Unilever's UK customer services on 0800 145252.

TK Maxx and Homesense are recalling the product due to a 'potential safety concern' relating to one batch, according to a notice in the Bristol city centre store's window.

It says: "We have identified a safety issue with one of the electrical components which may post a risk of electric shock."

Advice is to stop using it immediately.

TK Maxx says it has identified an issue with this product, which was on sale in December 2018 and January 2019.

A notice in the Bristol window says: "We have found that some of these batteries could leak which may pose a safety risk."

What's happened?
Garlic and Parsley Butter, is provided as an accompaniment fish counters. There is a possibility that very low levels of peanut may be present in the butter, which is not declared. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts.

What's happened?
Ikea is recalling Sötsak Skumtopp, soft marshmallows covered in chocolate flavoured coating, 180 g, because of undeclared milk on the product label. The affected product contains whey powder, which is derived from milk, making the product a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents. Although whey powder is mentioned in the list of ingredients, milk is not.

What do you need to do?
