Asda launches rainbow pizza in support of frontline workers

Asda has launched a new rainbow pizza in support of NHS staff and frontline workers amid the coronavirus crisis.

The supermarket giant launched the pizza on Saturday (16 May), which is now available at all Asda stores across Glasgow and the rest of the UK.

100 per cent of the profits from the colourful pizza will be donated to NHS Charities Together and The Care Workers’ Charity.

The donations will be split equally between the two chosen charities.

A statement from the ASDA team said: "With the nation coming together and continuing to stay at home to support the NHS and care workers, people are looking for easy ways to brighten up their mealtimes.

"As a homage to the NHS and care workers, Asda is launching a Rainbow Pizza – an edible interpretation of the iconic rainbow symbol that is providing people with hope during the pandemic."

Asda’s Rainbow Pizza is available in stores at the Asda Pizza Counter for £2.95.

The 10-inch pizza comes chilled and is ready to pop in the oven.
