Asda launch new vegan plant-based range in time for Veganuary

We are now seven days into Veganuary and the new vegan product launches are coming in thick and fast.

With vegan-friendly offerings now available at the likes of Greggs, Aldi and Iceland, there are plenty of treats to gorge on this month.

One of the latest brands to step up to the plant-based plate is Asda , with the supermarket giant launching its first own-brand vegan range.

There are 48 'Asda Plant Based' products in total, spanning everything from snacks to healthy ready-made meals.

Some highlights include meat-free quarter pounder style burgers, duckless spring rolls, No-Zzarella sticks and vegan dirty fries.

The affordable range starts at just £1.50, making veganism much easier on the purse strings for Asda shoppers, and is available in supermarkets nationwide.

Julie Wild, Own Brand Strategy Manager at Asda said: “The demand for plant based products is growing at a rapid rate, but it can be challenging for customers to find diverse, high-quality, and inexpensive options on the market.

"The new Asda Plant Based range with 48 new products to choose from – all approved by the vegan society – has been designed to offer something for everyone, at affordable prices."

In case you didn't know, Asda has also just launched an avocado-shaped vegan chocolate cake - and it costs just £10.

Meanwhile, that will set you back just £1.70.
