Asda issues urgent warning to shoppers with children

Supermarket giant Asda has issued an urgent product recall notice about some of the children's dressing gowns it sells online and in stores.

Posting on Twitter, Asda issued an urgent safety notice about the hood lining in some of its children's dressing gowns.

The retailer wrote: "RECALL NOTICE: We've found that the hood lining in some of our children's dressing gowns doesn't meet the stringent flammability requirements set out by George and the UK Nightwear (Safety) Regulations."

A second tweet added: "If you've purchased any of these gowns you should stop using it immediately and bring it back to your nearest store where you'll be given a full refund, or contact Asda Customer Relations. You don't need your receipt."

Asda concluded: "We're very sorry for any inconvenience caused but as safety is our top priority we hope you'll understand the reasons for this action. If you'd like any further information please contact Asda Customer Relations on 0800 952 0101 or tag @AsdaServiceTeam on Twitter."

If you have one of the affected products you should return it to store immediately for a full refund.
