Asda issues recall of potato product and issues refunds to customers

Asda has issued a product recall on one of its potato items.

The supermarket recalling a single date code of Plant-Based Loaded Potato Skins because the product contains milk which is not mentioned on the label, Birmingham Live report.

Asda issued an alert through the Food Standards Agency (FSA) website, urging any affected customers to return the item immediately.

The supermarket is offering full refunds to anybody who has bought the item, which has been withdrawn from shelves.

The product is a health and safety risk for any customer who may have an allergy or an intolerance to milk, according to an FSA statement.

The product comes with a date code of November 12, costing £2.25 at the till when you checkout.

Asda will refund the money to customers.

The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.

These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents do not eat it.

Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
