Asda has issued a warning to customers after pulling a batch of sauce from its shelves.
The supermarket giant has recalled a single date code batch of its Asda White Lasagne Sauce 480g, after a "production fault". Customers are being warned the item has "potential for microbiological growth which could cause illness if this product is consumed."
Affected jars of the sauce will have the best before date 03/02/2024, and barcode 505407064998.

If you have purchased the product from another UK Asda store it should be perfectly safe to eat. Asda said: "Stock with this best before date purchased from other Asda stores is not affected."
Customers who bought the item from a store listed above are advised to return it to their nearest store for a full refund.
Asda said: "If you have purchased Asda White Lasagne Sauce 480g BB 03/02/2024 in one of the stores shown above please do not consume the product. Please bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund. You do not need your receipt.
