Lovers of gin can rejoice at the news of Asda's latest launch: a pink gin cake.
The budget supermarket chain is selling its gin-flavoured cake for £12 in store and online at groceries.asda.com . It serves up to 18 people and looks (almost) too pretty to eat.
The boozy treat is made with layers of madeira sponge and a pink-gin flavoured soak combined with sweet jam.
For added wow factor, the cake is then covered with pink frosting and edible gin bottles - it's a party show-stopper!
With Mother's Day and Easter fast approaching, we reckon Asda's Pink Gin Cake will make a perfect centrepiece at any gathering.
Sarah Burns, Asda product developer, said: “We know our customers love a novelty cake and this one, for adults only, oozes sophistication.
“Enjoy in the evening with a favourite gin and tonic or, for something new, why not enjoy afternoon tea with a twist?!”
