Asda has changed its delivery slot availability - and shoppers will be over the moon

UK supermarket giant Asda has added hundreds of thousands of delivery slots to its online shopping site, it has been confirmed.

The supermarket had been in full capacity online as shoppers struggled to secure themselves a lot, leaving many unable to order essentials to their homes.

But now it has been confirmed that the supermarket has added an extra 400,000 slots on its website - a move which should ease the pressure on the most vulnerable and those unable to leave their homes due to coronavirus.

This means that a total of 700,000 slots will now be released - a number which is over double the 300,000 available just two weeks ago.

The supermarket says it now has 5,000 more store pickers, drivers and in store workers to keep shelves replenished for shoppers and those ordering from home during the lockdown period.

You can find an up to date list of Asda's opening and closing times, and rules and item restrictions for shoppers here.
