Asda has confirmed it will pass on a reduction in fuel prices at their pumps of 6p per litre.
The supermarket has confirmed it will pass the reduction in fuel duty announced in today's Spring Statement announcement from Rishi Sunak. The Chancellor of the Exchequer confirmed there would be a 5p cut in fuel duty from 6pm tonight until March next year.
Asda will reduce the price at its pumps by 6p per litre which includes a 1p reduction in VAT. Motorists at Asda pumps will see unleaded costs move back below 160ppl and Diesel to 170ppl.

Mr Sunak said the fuel duty cut was equivalent to £5billion of aid to the UKs motorists and rather than lasting until August as predicted will stand in place until March next year. UK petrol and diesel prices have been at historic highs for a number of weeks.
Speaking in his statement today, Mr Sunak said: "I'm going to help motorists. Today I can announce, for only the second time in 20 years, fuel duty will be cut. Not by one, not even by two, but by 5p per litre.
"The biggest cut to all fuel duty rates ever. While some have called for the cut to last until August, I have decided it will be in place until March next year - a full 12 months."
A spokesperson for Asda said: "Following the announcement by the Chancellor of the Exchequer just now, Asda has confirmed it will pass the reduction in fuel duty announced in today’s Spring Statement straight on to its customers. The supermarket will reduce the price at the pumps by 6p per litre which includes a 1p reduction in VAT.
"The new prices will be implemented from this evening. This means that motorists will see unleaded move back below 160ppl and Diesel to 170ppl."
