Asda customers using simple trick to spend less on shopping

Asda shoppers could now save a small fortune by doing one simple thing.

The retailer has launched a new loyalty scheme for the first time ever, and it couldn't have come at a better time with households across the UK struggling to pay soaring costs for food. Customers will be able to get cash back, as well as money off at the checkout.

Following a successful trial across 16 stores last year Asda Rewards is now available across all 633 of Asda's UK stores.

Asda has star products all over the store that you will earn ten per cent of the cost into your spend pot. The app will also have special missions, that once you complete, the reward will be added to your spend pot.

The cashback will be personalised to shoppers, the supermarket has said, with rewards being offered on the items individuals are most likely to buy. The rewards are also available for click and collect orders as it uses the same account details.

Rather than points - shoppers will instead rack up "pounds". The savings can certainly add up and customers have been shouting about it according to Glasgow Live.

One wrote on Facebook : "Saw it this morning when I did my online food shopping. Download the rewards app and it’ll link it to your grocery app."

Another said: "Fantastic Asda rewards offer!! Spend £25 on George school uniform, shoes, stationery and lunchboxes and get £5 cash pot reward!! See your reward app for full details! Offer ends August 31!"
