Asda has a new pizza topping and while some are keen to try it, others have described it as "random" and say it's gone "too far".
The Asda Stonebaked Thin and Crispy Medium Pizza now comes in Steak and Ale Pie flavour, priced at £3.50.
The pizza was launched by Asda on February 22 in time for National Pie Week, which began on Monday (March 1). The pizza has a thin and crispy base, topped with an ale and mushroom sauce, and loaded with steak, red onion, tangy cheese. It's then finished with crispy mini puff pastry pie lids.
Deborah Haigh, category planner for ready meals at Asda, said: "Following the success of our Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza last year, we wanted to delight our customers with another classic hybrid to celebrate National Pie Week. We know our customers are potty for a good pie, so we wanted to give them something really special to celebrate with."

After a picture of the pizza was shared by Facebook group Snack News and Reviews not everyone was impressed with the idea.
Commenting on the post, Tom said: 2Sounds so wrong to me a Steak & Ale Pie is a pie not for a pizza topping just my view lol."
Tagging a friend James added: "You like a pie, this may be up your alley, but it sounds rank to me!"
Tom described it as "minging''.
Sarah said: "Too far pie is pie, pizza is pizza."
Hayley said: "What a random pizza."
And Dave called it "grim".
But there were some people keen to try it.
Alex said: "Sounds nice."
Cheryl added: "Looks good."
Soph said: "This is worth a cheat day."
