As if the weekly shop wasn't already enough of a chore, there's nothing worse than turning up and realising you've forgotten your pound or token for the trolley.
But an Asda shopper has shared a "life hack" that could mean you will never again find yourself stuck outside waiting for a stray trolley to appear.
The customer shared an image of his trick to Twitter, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Alongside the image he wrote: "Life hack if you ain't got a quid for a trolley."
It involves using the circular part of the key, which goes into the slot where the coin or token usually goes.
Reacting, one user said they wished they'd learnt sooner, @grendelsmilf said: "couldn't have told me this yesterday when I had to do a big Aldi shop with nothing but a basket and sheer brute strength."
Another person said they have tried something similar but used stacked 20p coins.
