The customer shared an image of her trick on Twitter with the caption: "Life hack if you ain't got a quid for a trolley."
It involves using the circular part of the key to go into the slot where the coin or token usually goes to unchain the trolley, the Liverpool Echo reports.
Meaning as long as you have a key of this shape and you remember to take it with your during your next supermarket shop then it'll work.
