Asda customer notices mortifying mistake on Disney teapot going viral

A keen-eyed Asda shopper noticed an awkward spelling mistake written on a Peter Pan-themed teapot.

The £12 teapot, which features a silhouette of Tinkerbell, had the words "Sprinkle a little fairy dust" written on the side.

The glaring gaffe relates to the third letter on the piece, which appears to be a 'l' rather than a second 't'.

It has left many complaining that the teapot says "litlle."

The spelling error is also visible on the teapot advertised for sale on Asda's website. (Asda)

The product description reads: "Create an afternoon tea setting fit for a princess with this Tinkerbell footed teapot from George Home.

"Designed in white with gold-effect detailing and charming ‘sprinkle a little fairy dust’ lettering, it’s a beautiful treat for a Disney fan."

One wrote: "How adorable are these."

"Such a beautiful teapot," said a second.

"Oh my goodness. There’s a spelling mistake!!! @asda @georgeatasda @asdaprteam Please sort this out!!" wrote a third.

"Took me a while - my eyes were seeing a double t," said a fourth.

"Such a beautiful piece," said another.

But a sixth wrote: "I’ve been waiting for someone to spot it."

"Please sort this @Asda," added another.
