Asda are urgently recalling crispy onion packs as they may contain metal fragments

Packs of crispy onions sold in Asda stores are being urgently recalled as they may contain small pieces of metal.

Bunlimited Crispy Onions, produced by Struik Foods, may have pieces of metal wire inside some packs.

The date code affected is 11 June 2020 and the packs normally cost £1.25.

Food Standards Scotland says the product is unsafe to eat and it should be returned for a full refund.

It had been sold in Asda stores around the Uk but has now been pulled from the shelves.

Asda say: "If you have purchased Bunlimited Crispy Onions with a date code 11 June 2020, please bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund.

"You do not need your receipt. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused."
