Asda announces brand new meal deal and you can get lunch for £1.60

Asda has just made lunchtime cheaper and easier.

The supermarket has launched a brand new meal deal and it costs less than before.

What's more, there's way more flexibility.

It's so affordable that you can get an entire meal for as little as £1.60, reports The Mirror.

While most chains set a fixed price of about £3 for your sandwich, snack and drink, Asda has changed the rules by offering people the cheapest of the three free instead.

All 300 items in Asda's Food to Go range are included in the deal so customers can mix and match items.

Going for a ham or a cheese and onion sandwich (£1), a bottle of mineral water (38p) and a pack of Walkers Baked crisps (60p) saves you the least at just 38p, but also works out cheapest at £1.60.

A prawn mayo sandwich (£2), a can of Red Bull (£1.69) and a bag of McCoy's crisps (80p) will mean you pay £3.69, for example

The deal is available in stores and online although just 24 items are available on the website.

There's also a minimum spend of £40 for delivery orders and £25 for click and collects orders, it costs £3 to book a slot, but if you're ordering anyway it could work out rather nicely for sorting out work lunches for a week.
