Asan N'Jie will 'get down on hands and knees' to beg Emmerdale bosses' forgiveness after Jamie Lomas spat

Emmerdale star Asan N’Jie is said to be begging for a second chance from his bosses after getting into a scrap at the TV Choice Awards.

His future is allegedly hanging in the balance after he threatened to stab Hollyoaks hunk Jamie Lomas at the glitzy do on Monday.

Asan, 25, has been called into the studios for crisis talks with bosses and is preparing to "get down on his hands and knees" to ask for forgiveness.

A source told The Sun Online: "Asan is beside himself with worry. To quote him he's in 'absolute bits'.

"He knows that his career in Emmerdale could be over.

"He's someone at the centre of a knife crime storyline who has threatened to stab a fellow actor.

"It doesn't get more serious than that. He will get down on his hands and knees and plead for another chance."

The insider claims Asan has even offered to front anti-knife crime campaigns and go into schools to speak to kids about the issue.

Asan, whose character Ellis Chapman has been involved in a knife attack storyline, bellowed at 44-year-old Jamie: "Do you think you are a f*****g big man? I’m going to f*****g kill you. I'm going to f*****g knife you."

I'm A Celebrity star Malique Thompson-Dwyer tried to take his friend Jamie away from the row.

He was thrown out of the venue after the pair were pulled apart by security twice.

A spokesperson for Emmerdale confirmed they would be talking to Asan.

They said in a statement: "We are extremely concerned to hear about an incident at last night's TV Choice Awards involving one of Emmerdale's cast.

"Obviously we will be investigating and talking to the actor concerned in due course."
