As pubs and hairdressers in Liverpool reopen stay in touch with our newsletter

Today it’s been 15 weeks since pubs, restaurants and cafes were told to close in a desperate bid to stop the spread of coronavirus.

But this weekend, everything changes again.

After a year like none of us ever imagined, it's time for Liverpool's bars, pubs, salons, cinemas and more to open their doors and welcome people back.

From tomorrow, July 4, the lockdown rules will officially change meaning many businesses can finally open again after months of uncertainty.

Rules will be in place to keep staff and customers safe, but Liverpool will start to look like it once did. People will finally be able to meet up in cafes and restaurants, go for a pint, get their hair cut, or watch a film somewhere other than their sofa.

We will be in the city centre this weekend and you can keep up to date with everything that happens by signing up to our What's On newsletter, which delivers our top stories straight to your inbox.

With live coverage and pictures as the lockdown rules ease, it's certainly going to be a weekend to remember.

Join us as we welcome back the people whose job it is to make us feel welcome.

We can’t thank them enough and we hope everyone stays safe.
