Arturo Vidal's agent 'set for transfer talks' amid Man Utd interest

The agent of Barcelona's Arturo Vidal has reportedly travelled to Europe for talks with clubs who are interested in signing his client during the January transfer window, including Inter Milan and Manchester United .

Vidal has been at Barca since signing from Bayern Munich since 2018 and has been an important part of the first-team squad, making 74 appearances in all competitions.

Nevertheless, the Catalan club are thought to be open to selling the player, with the Chilean now 32 and with his best years arguably behind him.

According to Italian publication Corriere della Sera Vidal's agent Fernando Felicevich has travelled from Chile to Europe to hold talks with Inter Milan over a potential €20m (£17m) move.

They also state, however, that United are also keen to speak to Felicevich, and may go head-to-head with Inter to try to seal a deal for the player.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is known to be keen to add another central midfielder to his squad, and could see Vidal's experience and competitive nature as the perfect addition to the team.

United are currently struggling with injuries in midfield, with Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay sidelined for at least another few weeks, and as well as Vidal they have also been linked with a move for Tottenham's Christian Eriksen and Sean Longstaff of Newcastle .

Vidal is certainly a player who would bring a winning mentality to the club. He has been successful at every club he has played for, and has won a total of 15 trophies during spells at Juventus , Bayern Munich and Barcelona .

It remains to be seen whether Vidal is involved in Barcelona's upcoming games, with the La Liga champions facing Atletico Madrid in the Supercopa on Thursday followed by Granada in the league on Sunday.
