On display is a collection of 24 artworks -- comprising eight photographs by Dow Wasiksiri, four mixed-media works by Krit Ngamsom, five acrylic paintings by Kanakorn Kachacheewa, four watercolour paintings by Tawan Wattuya, and three acrylic paintings by Thesis Areepipatkul.
Their works aim to reflect human behaviour, especially among the millennial generation, generally labelled lazy, narcissistic and selfish.
Today, however, such criticism isn't limited to the Me generation but includes Baby Boomers (born 1946-1964), Generation X (born between the mid-1960s and early 1980s) and Generation Y (born 1980-1994).
Such a rapid change of outlook, attitude and behaviour reflects the ongoing issues in our society, such as the influences of the economy, politics, education, religion and social media. The exhibition title is coined by a combination of three words -- pop, popular and population. It encourages the five artists to represent their notion of this term through their artwork to echo the 21st century attitudes and behaviour as influenced by the pop aesthetics.
The exhibition is open for public viewing daily, 10am-10pm. There is no admission fee.
