Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Joe Kelly was suspended for eight games (before having the suspension reduced to five upon appeal) back in July after his heated relief appearance against the Astros.
During that appearance, Kelly threw behind the Astros’ Alex Bregman and exchanged words with Carlos Correa after a strikeout. And then, Kelly unleashed a fantastic pouty face to mock the Astros and Correa, which resulted in the dugouts briefly clearing.
That moment solidified Kelly’s place in Dodgers folklore as he exacted some revenge against the Astros for cheating during the 2017 season. And now he’ll have a mural in Los Angeles to commemorate that facial expression.

On Tuesday, Los Angeles mural artist Jonas Never completed his Joe Kelly mural in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles — just a couple miles down the road from Dodger Stadium.
In his tweet, Jonas Never said that he wanted to get the mural completed before the Astros came to Los Angeles for their series rematch on Saturday. Unfortunately, Kelly won’t be playing in that series. He’s on the injured list and still has to serve his five-game suspension.
But the baseball world will certainly keep an eye on that rematch.
