Artist's incredible toilet paper art saluted by Andrex

A talented artist has been saluted by Andrex for her incredible toilet paper art.

Paisley's Caroline Gormley has proved a viral internet hit after she shared her unorthodox work, which sees oil paintings on individual pieces of bog roll, including depictions of Boris Johnson and Donald Trump.

Toilet paper manufacturer Andrex have since commented on her spontaneous exhibition, saying: "Amazing work, Caroline! Andrex never looked so good".

Speaking to Glasgow Live , Caroline said she was inspired to tackle the bog paper with her paint brush in response to those who hoarded toilet roll at the start of the coronavirus crisis.

She said: "I came up with the idea because I couldn’t believe how mental people were being with hoarding even before lockdown.

"I decided to make a visual diary of all things covid-related. It’s been a huge challenge as I normally paint large scale and this is so tiny to work with.

"Using oil paint on toilet paper is hell! But hopefully it will be good visual documentation in the future of this terrible time."
