What is your favourite part about Christmas?
Some say the festive tree, others say the tasty cheese; one food designer has combined both elements and has crafted an entire Christmas tree from the food product.
According to Gloucestershire Live , Prudence Staite, the Cheltenham food artist, spent three weeks making the 7ft construct to celebrate the launch of Kettle Chips' new hand-cooked Mature Cheddar and Red Onion flavoured crisps.
Prudence said: "In the past, I've created artworks from many different types of food, but I've always wanted to make a sculpture using crisps, and I love cheese, so this was the perfect project for me."
Prudence hasn't held back on the design either and the tree features 100 handmade decorations, including:
- 45 cheese baubles
- 40 onions
- 11 cows
- Nine pine cones
- 10 tractors
- Three crisp stars
- Six crackers
- 12 transparent crisp baubles
- 10 strings of onion rings
- Eight strings of cheese beads
- 10 strings of tinsel made from Kettle Chips
The tree will be kept at Kettle Chips' long-term charity partner, The Feed, a café which supports the local community.
