Hollywood’s hit by yet another sex scandal: This time, it’s a fake video where a porn star’s face has been replaced with that of Wonder Woman actor Gal Gadot using machine learning. The video, created using artificial intelligence allegedly by Reddit user Deepfakes, shows Gadot getting ‘intimate’ with her stepbrother.
According to a report in Motherboard, a tech website, “the video was created with a machine learning algorithm, using easily accessible materials and open-source code that anyone with a working knowledge of deep learning algorithms could put together.”
Although the difference between Gadot’s real face and the one used in the video is obvious, the easy-to-fake process could target more innocent victims, not necessarily limited to celebrities.
It’s not the first time that fake celebrity porn videos are found in public domain. Earlier, Hollywood celebrities like Scarlett Johansson and Taylor Swift have become the victims of fake porn clips. But what makes the recent clip worrying is the finesse with which it is made.
