Within ten seconds of kick off he was taking on Diogo Dalot in an advanced position and rifled a shot from 20 yards over the bar. Made a good block from Rojo's long-range strike following a corner. Skinned Dalot with a wonderful Cruyff turn.
Excellent cross led to Anderson firing home from close range but the flag went up for offside.

15-30 minutes
Had another really good cross go unconverted in the middle. One very clever and quick throw in put Snodgrass in the clear but his cross was cleared away by Smalling.
Did well defensively against Dalot as well, who got next to nothing out of Masuaku.
30-45 minutes
Excellent positioning snuffed out a potentially dangerounter attack from the hosts as Masuaku kept up with Lingard and robbed the ball off him.
His defensive position was consistently good which is something he's not usually known for. Had a very good first half on his return to action.

45-60 minutes
Brilliant backheel put Lanzini in the clear and complete made a fool of Dalot. Got to the byline consistently and put in another woderful cross but Hernandez was half a yard offside.
60-75 minutes
Wasn't really tested as the Hammers enjoyed far the better of proceedings. He remained disciplined though and didn't switch off once, which he has been prone to doing before.

Again, not really much to report as he was untroubled defensively. Played a number of good passes down the channel for for Felipe Anderson and it led to three chances being created by the visitors.
