Falcons owner Arthur Blank has yet to deliver a Super Bowl to the city of Atlanta, but his relentless dedication to making the franchise a winner is what makes him one of the best owners in all of sports. Blank made some headlines earlier this week when NBC Sports’ Peter King suggested that the Falcons owner is unsatisfied with the way things are going.
“I keep hearing owner Arthur Blank is getting restless,” King wrote in his NFL power rankings piece, in which he had the Falcons ranked No. 17.
It’s certainly understandable to expect more out of a team that’s had one of the most talented rosters in the league over the past few years. But Blank wanted to clarify the report, saying it was somewhat taken out of context, according to this tweet from ESPN’s Chris Mortensen:
Blank insists that he was not referring to the current status of the Falcons and that he was simply referencing his overall mindset as an owner to always strive to be better.
Unless Atlanta has a disastrous 2019 season, both head coach Dan Quinn and general manager Thomas Dimitroff should be safe.
