Nottingham Forest team news ahead of Queens Park Rangers clash

Nottingham Forest are in Championship action again on Easter Monday (April 5) when they welcome Queens Park Rangers to the City Ground.

The Reds are heading into their final seven games of the season and are boosted by Good Friday's 1-0 win at Cardiff City.

They are 16th in the table, 10 points above the relegation zone.

Here's a look at the latest from the treatment room...

Harry Arter

The midfielder has been dogged by injury problems during his first season at the club.

He featured for the Under-23s a couple of weeks ago but suffered a setback and was withdrawn after less than half an hour.

He had previously returned to training with the first-team, but is now absent again with a calf issue.

“Harry Arter isn’t back at this stage," Chris Hughton said ahead of the Cardiff game.

Gaetan Bong

The defender came off with a knock in the Reds' game against Brentford and missed the Cardiff match.

"He’s a lot, lot better now but hasn’t done too much training since. He would be a doubt,” Hughton said ahead of the Cardiff game.

The Forest manager has regularly rotated the left-back spot this term, with Bong competing with Yuri Ribeiro and Tyler Blackett for a place.

Joe Lolley

The campaign is almost certainly over for the Reds winger after he suffered a hamstring tear in the 1-1 draw with Reading.

Little more than a week ago, he posted a picture on Instagram from a hospital bed with the message "op complete" and a tick.

Hughton had previously said: “There’s every chance he could be out for the season.

“We always try to be as optimistic as possible, but it’s starting to look that way.

“It’s disappointing for us, but mostly for Joe.

“He was having a really good period of the game in what has been a very up and down season for him. You’re always thinking that would turn and he could have a good end to the season.

“It’s disappointing and frustrating - certainly for us, but mostly for him.

“Everybody at the club knows what he can do.

“It’s a big blow.

“He’ll have to get his mind very much focused on recovering, getting fit and coming back next season.”
