Artem Lobov reveals Conor McGregor's reaction to Paulie Malignaggi win

Artem Lobov has revealed how Conor McGregor reacted to his unanimous decision win over rival Paulie Malignaggi on Saturday night.

The former UFC star stunned fight fans when he beat Paulie Malignaggi in a Bare Knuckle boxing match at BKFC 6 in Florida over the weekend.

And speaking on the MMA Hour after the show, Lobov revealed that McGregor was in touch afterwards to celebrate the result, saying: “I spoke to Conor, he said that was a good performance.

"[He said] I dominated the fight, I pressed the action all the time and he said it was a very good performance and a great win for me.”

And after the bout, which followed a year and a half of rivalry between McGregor, Lobov and Malignaggi, the American bowed to his opponent and seemingly ended their issues.

Lobov continued: “When you fight someone, it’s different. It’s a lot of conflict that you can have. Once you fought somebody, that’s it.

“There’s not much to it anymore. You went in there, you settled it like men, one on one, and that’s it. After that, I don’t think there’s really a point to kind of carry it with you, any of that negativity.

"You just go on with your life, be positive, and just enjoy your life and be a happy person; that’s how it is for me.”

Malignaggi was favourite to win, but Lobov pushed the pressure and picked up a decision victory over the former boxing champion.
