To pay final tribute to HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej, CentralWorld is holding many exhibitions and related activities under the "Still On My Mind" theme throughout October.

A number of renowned artists in many fields have joined hands to show their deep gratitude and love for the late monarch through art, with the highlight being what is said to be the world's longest drawing by Suvit Jaipom.

The 20m-long piece narrates the illustrious life of King Bhumibol from his birth, his coronation, his monkhood, his remarkable talents, his royal duties to his passing late last year. Adorned with 10,000 picturesque flowers, it is currently displayed at the amphitheatre in front of the shopping mall until Oct 31.

Up to 99 paintings of various techniques by 60 renowned artists are exhibited at the Eden zone, 3rd floor, until Oct 31 while a total of 99 portraits of HM as a monk are showcased during the "Forever Reign By Dhamma" exhibition at the Eden zone, 2nd floor, until Oct 15.

Four exhibitions of rare banknotes, coins, stamps and precious art pieces will be held at the Central Court, 1st floor, from this Thursday to Oct 31. This is an opportunity to witness the first banknote under the reign of King Rama IX, the first banknote with HM's portrait on the right side, a non-paper banknote, and a 500,000 baht banknote (the highest denomination of Thai banknotes). They will be exhibited alongside the first 1 baht coin and stamp series of this reign, as well as 99 exceptional paintings and 33 sculptures created in honour of King Rama IX.

Set to take place at the Eden zone, 1st floor, for 10 days from this Friday to Oct 15 will be the "Music For Our King" performance by CU Band, a 100-member symphony orchestra of Chulalongkorn University. They will perform HM's royal compositions with many honorable singers.

The second half of the month will feature the "Roi Duang Jai Pue Por Luang Thai (Uniting Our Hearts For Our King)" exhibition that will come with many activities by artists and celebrities to encourage Thai people to do good deeds. It will be held at the Eden zone, 2nd floor, from Oct 16-31.

On the last week of this month, veteran artist Dinhin Rakpong-asoke will be teaching how to draw a portrait of King Rama IX, free of charge, while art students from Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts will conduct complementary classes on portrait drawing, at the Eden zone, 1st floor, from Oct 26-31.
