This is the shocking moment an arsonist threw a petrol bomb at the front door of his victim's home.
Sajid Hamid has been jailed following the terrifying attack.
CCTV footage released by police shows the 49-year-old, dressed in a hoody, walk up to the front of the property.
Moments later a flash can be seen as the petrol bomb explodes and Hamid runs back down the path.
On Monday Hamid, Sandringham Street, Gorton, was jailed for eight and a half years at Manchester Crown Court, sitting at the Hilton Hotel, after after being found guilty of serious domestic-related reckless arson.
The court heard that no-one was in the house at the time of the attack, in the early hours of July 19, 2019.
But the petrol bomb caused extensive damage, both inside and outside the property.
The victim has also been granted an indefinite restraining order against Hamid.
Det Con Paul Wilde, of GMP's Major Incident Team, said: "It is clear that Hamid had no care for anyone he may have harmed in committing this crime.
"The outcome of this could have been absolutely devastating but fortunately, no one was harmed.
"The victim has shown incredible strength and bravery throughout this investigation.
"I want to thank her for her cooperation, and I hope that today’s sentence acts as some form of justice for the distress Hamid put her through."
