Arson attack in Ayrshire village sees Land Rover Discovery set alight during early hours

Police are appealing for witnesses after a silver Land Rover Discovery was torched in an Ayrshire village during the early hours of this morning.

The vehicle was parked outside a property in Dalrymple's Glebe Avenue when it was set alight at around 3.20am.

Nobody was injured, but police say the fire was set deliberately.

Detective Sergeant Keith Hyndes, of Ayrshire CID, said: "We investigating this incident and would urge anyone who may have information or may have seen any suspicious activity around the area to come forward.

"We would be particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have private CCTV or dashcam footage from the area during the early hours of the morning.

"If you can help our enquiries please call 101, quoting incident 0294 of 14 December, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
