Arson attack at Co Antrim house

A family home has been targeted in an arson attack this morning in Co Antrim.

Flammable liquid was poured through the letter box of the front door at the property

  PSNI detectives have asked anyone with information to contact them by phone or make a report on-line following the arson in the Seven Mile Straight area of Antrim.

Detective Constable Robinson said: “Shortly after 4am, it was reported that damaged was caused to a number of front windows of a house in the area.

"It was reported that a flammable liquid was poured through the front door of the property and set alight.

"Damage was caused to the front door of the house, with no one inside the property during the incident.

“Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.  We are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 192 of 05/12/20.

"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."
