Arsene Wenger has questioned whether the Manchester United fans who protested in Old Trafford represent the majority or the minority.
Hundreds of fans made their feelings known outside the club's stadium before breaking in and staging a demonstration on the pitch.
Fan anger is at an all time high among United supporters, who have long had issue with the Glazers' ownership.
But the proposed Super League plans appear to have bought things to a head and fans are now calling for the Americans to sell the club.
Wenger though, who dealt with fan protests whilst in charge at Arsenal, insists it must be determined whether the protests represent the majority of fans.
He said on Bein Sports: "First of all you always have to know whether this is the majority.
"We live in a society where the protesters aren't always the majority.
"The media only consider the minority of protesters.
"I would say as a football fan I was against the Super League project because it ignores what makes football great."
The protests in and around Old Trafford eventually saw the postponement of United's game with Liverpool.
A defeat for the hosts would've seen Manchester City crowned champions, but the wait will now go on.
United have released a statement acknowledging the passion of their fans but condoned their actions.
They said: "Our fans are passionate about Manchester United, and we completely acknowledge the right to free expression and peaceful protest.
"However, we regret the disruption to the team and actions which put other fans, staff, and the police in danger.
"We thank the police for their support and will assist them in any subsequent investigations."
