Could Arsene Wenger be in line for a sensational return to Arsenal?
Well, according to the Mirror, the Gunners' hierarchy are keen to bring the legendary Frenchman back to the club, with senior figures said to have already made approaches.
This has prompted a big reaction from fans on social media - and it's safe to say many are excited about the prospect of Wenger being back at the Emirates Stadium in some capacity.
With that said, this isn't the first time Wenger has been contacted about a return.
Since stepping down as manager at the end of the 2017/2018 season the Frenchman has not been back to north London - not even to watch a game from the stands - as he opted for a clean break.
Speaking about previous contact from Arsenal chiefs earlier in the season, Wenger revealed the one condition that could see him return to the club.
"I have been in touch with some people at the club but I felt when you go like that you cannot be half in, half out," Wenger told beIN Sports.
"You let people who come in work their way. And I wanted to take a complete distance.
"It's still a bit early, maybe, to go back. I haven't been back at the club."
It remains to be seen what capacity Arsenal want to bring Wenger back in as he has taken up a new role in football recently.
In November 2018 it was announced that Wenger is the new FIFA Chief of Global Football Development.
A role he is very excited about.
"I very much look forward to taking on this extremely important challenge, not only because I have always been interested in analysing football from a broader perspective but also because FIFA’s mission as world football’s governing body is truly global," Wenger told the FIFA website.
"I believe that the new FIFA we have seen emerging in recent years has the sport itself at the very heart of its objectives and is determined to develop the game in its many different components.
"I know I can contribute to this objective and will put all my energy into this."
