Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger has opened up about what he calls his one big regret from his time in north London.
The Frenchman guided the Gunners to success in the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Charity Shield.
But he never got his hands on the Championship League trophy, despite coming close to beating Barcelona in a dramatic final 14 years ago.
Sol Campbell handed ten-man Arsenal the lead that day in Paris but late goals from Samuel Eto'o and Julian Belletti plunged a dagger in Gunners' hearts.
A win that day would have capped off a stunning era for the football club, two years on from going a season unbeaten in England's top flight.
But would Wenger swap that golden Invincibles trophy for a Champions League winners medal?
"Yes, but in football, you have not the choice," admitted Wenger, speaking to talkSPORT.
"We went to the Champions League final in 2006 and eliminated a big Real Madrid team and a big Juventus team without conceding a goal.
"Then, in the final, we were down to ten men after a few minutes, you know.
"[That was] my biggest regret is that winning the Champions League that season would have crowned that generation, in that period, which is what they deserved.
"It was not to be and you have to leave with what you don't win, in life, unfortunately."
He added: "They were winners, they were leaders and they were united. They were ready to fight for each other."
