Arsene Wenger reminds Unai Emery of his responsibilities as Arsenal boss

Arsene Wenger insists he won't judge Unai Emery's rein at Arsenal - but says it's his responsibility to play attractive football.

Legendary Gunners boss Wenger stepped down in 2018, after 22 years in charge of the north London club.

Arsenal took their time before hiring his replacement, and a number of names were in the mix including former Gunners midfielder Mikel Arteta.

Eventually ex-Paris Saint-Germain boss Emery was given the role, and tasked with returning Arsenal to the Champions League.

He was unable to achieve his goal in his first season, despite guiding the Gunners to the Europa League final in Baku.

But he is starting to put his stamp on the north London club, and Wenger is hopeful the Emirates will remain a home for entertaining football under Emery.

"I'm not here to judge coaches. I am a supporter of Arsenal Football Club so I just support [Emery] and hope that he can win games and plays a type of game that I like," Wenger told Omnisport.

"I think a club like Arsenal is a huge responsibility and one of those responsibilities is to play attractive football.

"After that, I think the most important thing is to support the team, the club and win games."
